Wonderful place. We drove up, checked in for our day pass, and then enjoyed the main pools for a couple hours. Sauna is excellent with steam option. Showers readily available. Clothing optional of course! The temple dome is magical and the hot/cold circuit is really fun and relaxing. You can smell the minerals! A beautiful view. Currently there is some construction going on near the meditation pool but it didn’t take away from the peace. Definitely worth a visit!
Amazing experience always! Friendly kind staff who go the extra distance to make you feel loved! There was a live spiritual music playing in the main house , really classy and helped me reconnect to my innermost god.. very healing environment all around . I love to support this local business ❤️
I love Sierra Hot Springs so much. It's one of the most peaceful spots I've been too. The Philosophy Cafe always has delicious food. The only time I don't have a good time is when there are kids splashing in the warm pool. I wish there was a sign that was more clear about no splashing. There is a sign that says in a roundabout way for parents to take their kids elsewhere if their energy is too much but it seems like it's not taken seriously.
We drove our camper and stayed in this place's parking lot in late October. Wonderful experience! Utterly relaxing, non pretentious. The shared kitchen and lobby is my favorite place to hang out. Spring pools are well maintained, plenty of shower space. Everyone is friendly and respectful.
This was our first hot spring experience. Didn't expect everyone to be so comfortable being fully nude walking around and in the hot spring. It was quiet because it was more of a meditation hot spring than a fun hot spring for socializing like I always imagine.
Been coming here for 20 years. They really have it dialed in nicely now. Reservation system and closed days for the employees to regenerate. We camp in the forest behind and are so grateful that management respects our rights and are increasingly kind. Love this iteration of the springs you’re doing great.
A mellow, relaxing abode with delightful hot springs in a beautiful Sierra location. It's a well-preserved hotel that is nicely appointed and very comfortable. Beautiful woodwork everywhere. A place to get away from TVs and cell phone conversations, but there is good wifi and limited cell phone coverage. The kitchen is large and well equipped and rather busy at peak hours, but everybody was cooperative and cleaned up after themselves. Instructive signs everywhere. Lots of wonderful indoor and outdoor places to sit and eat or read or quietly converse. The small shared bathrooms were clean and convenient. The hot springs are the highlight - a short, comfortable walk on either side of the hotel. An amazing variety of settings and temperatures that are perfect for quiet meditation.
“Lighter and Brighter”: A Review
“What you are looking for, IS where you are looking from.”
Well it all started when we were planning on going to Lassen National Park. Little did we know the springs are connected to the volcano (heresy). Sulphur, magnesium, potassium… divine gifts, mineral candy land, from ancient earth are your new kindred spirits for the duration of your stay.
Be on the lookout for:
- dragonflies who want to land on your tent
- Janice with the inner radiance
- altars on the pool to pool trail
- a full moon everyday
- light beams of amber and golden rivers shooting out of a saint’s hands
Remember to: hydrate, watch the moonrise, & philosophize at the cafe.
